PERSPECTIVE DESIGN CONTEST FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS AND ARCHITECTS

On September 4-6, 2019, within the framework of the Kazakhstan International Building and Interiors Exhibition KazBuild 2019, there will be a competition for young designers and architects. The competition has six nominations by different design categories. Winner will be able to implement their project during the year. Competition organizers - KazBuild Exhibition and Leagues of Architects and Designers.

The main goal of Perspective Design competition is to allow young designers and architect to demonstrate their design, performed in compliance with all regulations, taking into consideration terms of reference, deadlines, and budgets, to a real customer. Everyone who takes part in the competition will be able not only to get quality work in their portfolio but also to implement their project or receive a prize from partners.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

  • Architects, interior designers with the working experience from 0 to 10 years;
  • Residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Architect firms, design studios, groups of designers/architects and individual architects, designers are allowed for participation.

     Jury and competition stages
The competition has several steps:

Until August 1, 2019 – submission of applications and works for the competition
Until August 15, 2019 – a selection of the best works for presentation in person
September 4-6, 2019 – exhibition and presentation of the best works before the jury
September 6, 2019 – winners’ award ceremony

Works for presentation in person and competition winners will be selected by the jury consisting of the famous designers and architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Requirements to project submission:

  • work should be submitted in electronic form;
  • a letter should indicate the author's (authors') full name(-s)
  • if a participant is a member of any professional community, he has to name the community and his membership number;
  • project name;
  • project description (up to 500 words) explaining why it will have demand;
  • a digital presentation of the project in PDF format shall be free of any data such as title or author's name (signature), logos, and watermarks.

The main requirement to work submitted: a project must be unique, demonstrate innovative and functional designing solutions for business, positively reflecting the environmental changes, and influencing a human being.

How to participate?

  1. Choose a nomination, for which you will apply. One person can maximum apply for two nominations. Only one work from 1 participant can be accepted in each nomination.

  3. During three working days, you will get terms of reference to your e-mail

  5. All participants allowed for the presentation in person will receive an e-mail before August 15, 2019. Also, a list of such participants will be published at kazbuild.kz web-site.
