Value of construction works in Kazakhstan in January-October increased by 1.8%

In Kazakhstan, the volume of construction works in January-October 2017 amounted to KZT2 trillion 610.9 billion, 1.8% more than for the same period in 2016, Kazinform reports with reference to the National Committee on Statistics.

The largest amount was spent on the construction of highways and roads making KZT587.9 billion, followed by engineering facilities at the cost of KZT457.7 billion, residential buildings at KZT 305.5 billion and industrial buildings at KZT275.1 billion.

The volume of construction and assembly works decreased by 1.3% to KZT2 trillion 253.3 billion. The costs of construction work for capital and current repairs, compared with the corresponding period last year increased by 35.3% and 16.8% respectively.

In January-October this year, construction of 25,852 new buildings was completed, including 23,704 residential buildings and 2,148 skeleton buildings. In particular, 60 primary schools, 42 children’s care centres, 27 outpatient clinics and 1 hospital were put into operation.
