Firing of clay products is performed in a kiln where temperature is increased until clay components go through a physical and chemical transformation providing the fired product with its main characteristics.

Like all firing process, it consists of three basic stages:
• Heating
• Firing
• Cooling.

Every one of these stages is performed in a different section of the tunnel kiln where three different heat exchanges take place.
