KazBuild, the oldest of the three, will take place for the 17th time. The exhibitions occupy three pavilions at the Atakent Exhibition Centre and will be open until 10 September. They are organised by the Kazakhstan exhibition organiser, Iteca, and its international partners from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, China, U.A.E. and Turkey.
KazBuild grows both in quantity and quality: the Kazakhstan contingent of the exhibition has grown by 10% compared to the previous year and the event features competitions and festivals. The exhibition also included a real estate section which, for the last four years, has been held as an independent exhibition, KazRealty.
The major change to this year’s event is the consolidation of two well-known events, Heat&Vent Plus and Aqua-Therm Almaty. This has resulted in a total increase of 56% in exhibition space for heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, sanitaryware and water supply companies. This new development follows the organiser’s acquisition of Italian company Fin-Mark Srl, who organises Aqua-Therm. In total, 120 HVAC companies from 16 countries will be represented at Heat&Vent Plus 2010 and Aqua-Therm Almaty 2010.
In total, KazBuild will feature more than 360 companies from 26 countries. Exhibitors include companies from Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, U.A.E., Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Six national groups will also be present at the show, which is a testament to the widespread interest in the Kazakhstani building and interiors market, as well as the good reputation of the event. These include Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, and South Korea. After a short break, the Italian Association of Brick Masons, Assomarmomachine, has also joined the exhibition.
Day One will include the Second International Contest of Innovations in Construction, Goods, Brands, Technologies, featuring 19 new products for the Kazakhstan market from Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia and France. The competition is officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan. The new products on display will include: a new-generation ВХС air grill, nanotechnology-based waterproofing materials, etc. The jury will comprise of independent experts in construction, design, architecture and landscaping, as well as representatives from government bodies. In addition, accredited construction specialists will act as the experts. The main categories of the competition will include: ergonomic efficiency, technological effectiveness, ecological compatibility and demand. As well as receiving awards, the winning companies will be able to place the competition logo on their products. The event will take place in the Workshop Room of Pavilion 9, from 14:00 until 18:00. Information support for the competition is provided by StroyBusiness and StroiInfo newspapers. Entry is free for journalists. The event website displays regular updates about the competition: www.kazbuild.kz.
This year, for the first time, KazBuild will feature an International Festival of Landscaping and Site Finishing, GreenTerra, organised by Iteca and Republican Green Club Non-Commercial Partnership. The Festival will take place at the entrance to Pavilion 10, Atakent Exhibition Centre, throughout the exhibition. Its participants include approximately 20 companies from Belgium, Kazakhstan, Netherlands and Russia. The Festival also includes a competition of exotic plants, Fairy Tale, various master classes and workshops. Visitors will be able to get free consultations from local specialists and landscape gardeners.
