Ladies and gentlemen, participants, visitors and hosts,

It gived me great pleasure to welcome you to the KazBuild Construction Exhibition 2009 and to the Heat & Vent Plus Exhibition 2009 in Almaty.

The two exhibitions highlight a major connection for future technology. Construction as well as heating and ventilation of buildings are key issues for economic efficiency in the further use of real estate. The correction between high standard construction, which includes effective insulation, and concerted heating and ventilation is significant and dovetailed concepts will finally lead to a high degree of energy efficiency. Once these needs are regarded energy efficient buildings receive a competitive advantage anв thus will attract clients.

Technology and know how from Germany is an ideal source for establishing measures to enhance these concepts. Therefore KazBuild Construction Exhibition and Heat & Vent Plus Exhibition in Almaty are gaining popularity amongst German companies and hence about 50 are planning to take part into this years events.

I wish the KazBuild Construction Exhibition 2009 and the Heat & Vent Exhibition 2009 to be a successful event.

Thank you,

Rainer Eugen Schlageter

Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kazakhstan

On behalf of ITECA LLP, a Kazakhstan exhibition company, and its partner in Kazakhstan, Central Asia and the Caucasus, the international exhibition company ITE Group Plc., we would like to cordially welcome exhibitors and guests of the 16th Kazakhstan International Construction Exhibition KazBuild 2009.

This year’s KazBuild – despite the challenging situation in the world economy – brought together about 300 companies 17 countries. Moreover, we the organisers would like to mention that the interest in the project keeps growing every year, especially from foreign companies reaching out to the Kazakhstan market for the first time. This year, for instance – apart from traditional national groups from Germany, Finland and South Korea – first-time exhibitors will include a major Portuguese association of ceramic industry – APICER, which presents 7 manufacturers from Portugal, as well as 15 companies from Italy represented by Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Novara (E.V.A.E.T.) and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE). Besides, the list of national groups will include the team stand from Iran.

For most exhibiting companies, KazBuild 2009 is a unique opportunity to demonstrate their new products and yet another resource to address advertising and image issues. In turn, entry of new companies to the market of Kazakhstan will help shape a competitive environment in the industry.

We would like to express our appreciation to all companies which took part in our project and prepared an interesting agenda for visitors. We also wish you a constructive work and good contracts.

On behalf of the organisers, we would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to the Agency for Construction and Housing Utilities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Almaty City Akimat, for support and assistance in implementing this project. We would also like to thank all international partners for assistance in organisation of KazBuild 2009.

Sincerely yours,

Nailya Sermukhamedova

Director of Building and Construction Division in Kazakhstan and Central Asia

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Committee for Construction and Housing Utilities under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I am happy to welcome exhibitors, guests and organisers of the 16th Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Construction and Interiors, Windows, Doors and Façades, Ceramics and Stone – KazBuild 2009.

Within 16 years, KazBuild 2009 has proven to be a most significant event in the construction industry of Kazakhstan. The exhibition offers an opportunity to make an important step towards enhancing co-operation between all architects, city planners, investors, developers, manufacturers, and construction machinery specialists. Despite construction slump, Kazakhstan still needs local building materials. To meet this demand, the 2005-2014 Programme on Development of the Industry of Building Materials, Items and Structures in the Republic of Kazakhstan is being actively implemented. Up to 75-80% of new SME productions are based on the exhibited technologies and establishing direct links with manufacturers, as well as equipment lease contracts.

The construction industry today faces a number of tasks to be resolved to ensure future development of the industry. Sections and topics of KazBuild reflect all current trends in construction. Leading foreign and Kazakhstan companies will present their developments, technologies and materials.

I hope that the 16th Kazakhstan International Exhibition KazBuild 2009 will be successful and address the interests of Kazakhstan and foreign companies working in the construction industry. No doubt, new ideas, business contacts and joint projects in various production areas will be the best result of the exhibition. May everyone enjoy a productive work and achieve their goals!
