THE CONTEST
The Innovation Competition in the construction industry will be taking place simultaneously with the annual Kazakhstan exhibitions KazBuild Spring 2012 и WinTecExpo Kazakhstan 2012.Eligible competitors will include companies (manufacturers, distributors, etc.) which present materials, instruments, equipment, technologies and services in the Kazakhstan market that match the exhibition scopes of KazBuild Spring and WinTecExpo Kazakhstan.
The competitor jury: professional independent experts in the construction industry, architects and designers, representatives from government organizations working in the area of innovations in the construction industry, and heads of independent laboratories.
Expert commission: leading experts and construction specialists, architects and designers from Kazakhstan.
Target audience: professional architects, construction specialists and designers.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PRODUCTS EXHIBITED AT THE COMPETITION:
- The product must fit the concept of “innovative”;
- product must have been marketed in Kazakhstan for not more than 1 year;
- The product must have been existed in the world market for not more than 5 years.
Assessment of the competitor products can be linear – with four or more product items in a line – or aggregate if there are too few product items for linear assessment.
BASIC CRITERIA OF CONTEST PRODUCTS FOR LINEAR ASSESSMENT:
- Рroduceability of the product
- Durability of the product
- Environmental friendliness of the product
- Versatility of the product
- Price competitiveness of the product
BASIC CRITERIA OF CONTEST PRODUCTS FOR AGGREGATE ASSESSMENT:
- Ergonomics of the product;
- Рroduceability of the product;
- Demand for the product.
* The jury of experts and Competition organisers may amend the requirements to the competitive product and basic assessment criteria.
These amendments will be approved prior to the Competition, and all competitors will be informed about them well in advance.
The design style and appearance of the product will be assessed separately.
After the Competition, ‘The Best Product’ in each line will be announced in linear assessment, and/or three prize winners in aggregate assessment.
Also, a winner in ‘The Best Product Presentation’ category will be announced.
